Good Shepherd School has been in existence since 1985 in a building occupied by the former St. Thomas High School.

The school has 9 fulltime classrooms, a computer lab/art room, library, music room, remedial reading room, counseling room, and a resource room. There is a full size gym on the first floor along with office area for the principal, secretary, Religious Education program, and Pastoral Minister. There is an elevator available for use by students and staff that may require it. The building and grounds are maintained by a staff of three.

 The grounds include a secured area for lunch recess. A special part of the grounds is the HOPE GARDEN, which is across the parish parking lot from the school. This is an area approximately 30' by 100' that has been cleared, planted, and maintained by the students for the past four years.
